Young Audience Creation
A solo performance for children aged 4 and up and their families, Galaxie provisoire is at once a musical, theatrical and visual creation — a journey through the universe, together!
It is night.
A night to stay warm in bed.
A night to simply watch the stars shine.
Thousands of stars.
Wait… what is that woman doing in my sky? She walks as if she knows the way.
Hey, Madam, where are you going with that long straw in your hand?
I wish I could walk in the sky like she does. Stand tall in the night.
She leans over a star. She places the tip of her straw on it.
It looks like now she’s blowing into the straw. Yes — her cheeks are swelling, and at the end of the straw, shapes begin to swell too, grow, multiply. Planets that glitter!
It’s so beautiful, you don’t know where to look…
Will the woman’s breath last long?
Can you blow forever, without stopping?
When she stops blowing, the planets deflate.
They shrink, collapse, melt.
What will remain?
Was it just a dream?
But a dream wouldn’t make so much noise.
Listen! It’s real music! And it echoes so far!
Won’t it wake the neighbours?
Neighbours in the sky? You’re really saying anything now!
Look instead: it seems the woman’s cheeks are swelling again.
And look on the other side of the straw — the same thing is happening as before…
Ah, good news, everything is starting again!
Do you think everything always starts over?
Stop saying nonsense! You can clearly see it’s not the same at all!
Oh wow, you’re right…
What just emerged from the night — that growing yellow sphere — isn’t that what we call a sun?
A sun? Are you sure?
I must admit I don’t know much about galaxies, and even less about the birth of suns.
But it makes me feel like jumping up and running on a beach — maybe that’s a sign!
And the woman too — it looks like it gives her wings.
Playing the saxophone inside a sun… what a strange idea!
It must be really hot up there!
And the music is nothing like before!
And now there are huge bubbles travelling through space — have you noticed?
